devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

In reply to your letters.

You must return to your country as soon as possible, and I am surprised that you do not mention this in your letters. Please inform me by return of mail.

A) I will read at the tziyun* the request for blessing for the family ... You will verify, in a suitable manner, whether she observes the laws of taharas hamishpacha*, whether, at the time of the marriage, the husband had not slighted a young woman[2]. You will inform me on this point.

B) You will also give me news of the state of health of the talmid* Moshe ben Frecha.

C) You will indicate to me how the studies are going in Midelt[3], as well as the family arrangements. It seems that participating in this for half the expenses is excessive[4], especially taking into account the remoteness[5]. You will speak about this with Rav B. G.[6].

With my blessing for success in your sacred task and awaiting your reply on all these points,

Your proposal to bring to your city a sofer* and shochet* belonging to our community is judicious[7]. Rav S. Liberov[8] should also come, for someone must direct the work in Casa[9] and in the other places.

You will please indicate directly to Rav B. G., as soon as possible, the names of those concerned and those of their wives, in order to obtain settlement visas[10].

...הכניסה למדינתו בהקדם . ותימה שלא מזכיר מאומה עד"ז. ונא להודיעני בחוזר .

(ג) הפ"נ ע"ד משפחת... אקרא בע"ה על הציון הק'. ומטובו לברר, באופן המתאים, אם שומרת טהרה כדבעי, ואם לא היו בנישואיהם ענין של נגיעה בכבוד בת ישראל מצדו וכיו"ב, ונא להודיעני עד"ז.

(ד) מטובו להודיע מבריאות התלמיד משה בן פריחא שי'.

(ה) נא להודיע מהנעשה במידלת בענין הלימודים וכן בענין תיקון הבית, ולכאורה ההשתתפות בכגון דא בחצי ההוצאות היא יותר מהראוי, ובפרט שהענין בריחוק מקום וכו'. ויתדבר עם הררב"ג שי'...
