To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem,

Rav A.[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter, after a long interruption, and I thank you very much for your efforts aimed at authorizing the immigration to our country of Mr. Menashe Rosenblatt and his wife. You will surely continue your action and you will encourage Dr. Honigbaum and all who can intervene. May you enable the Will of Hashem to be fulfilled in this matter, so that he should at last find peace.

I took great pleasure in reading that the words of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, are engraved in your mind — according to which a person receives the strength to transform the place in which he resides. This memory will help you put this teaching into practice, to find within yourself the strength to influence those around you, to bring them closer to Yiddishkeit*, to illuminate them with the clarity of Torah, to warm them with the warmth of Chassidus*, which is the luminary of the Torah.

But you must, above all, place your bitachon* in Hashem. You went to that country[2] with the consent and blessing of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. You are therefore there under his responsibility. With the suitable effort, you will surely know success in all that has just been said.

Do not be distressed because you are, as you put it, covered with material debts, in addition to spiritual debts. Hashem will take them upon Himself, since "he who has pity on the poor lends to Hashem." Now, you have contracted debts precisely to express your pity for the poor, spiritually or materially. Hashem is therefore the source of this loan, and it is consequently certain that He will repay it in full.

As you ask me, I will mention at the tziyun* your name, that of your wife, and that of the great Rav, Chassid who fears Hashem, Rav ... The Tzaddik* who departs this world is found there more than during his lifetime, and he will give his blessing, which Hashem will fulfill, materially and spiritually.

Enclosed please find the kuntres* of 9 Teves, the brochure published for 24 Teves, and the collective letters that accompany them[3]. These dates have passed, but the subjects they treat are still relevant.

אאשר קבלת מכתבו אחרי ההפסק הארוך ות"ח ת"ח על השתדלותו בענין הכניסה למדינתנו בשביל מר מנשה שי' רוזנבלאט וזוג' תחי', ובטח גם עתה יעמוד על המשמר לזרז את הדר. האניגבוים ושאר השייכים לזה, ויה"ר אשר חפץ ה' בידו יצליח לעזור להנ"ל לבוא אל המנוחה ואל הנחלה.

נהניתי במאד ממה שכותב שחרותים בזכרונו דברי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שנותנים לאדם כחות לתקן ולהעלות את מקומו, אשר גם זכרון זה עצמו יסייע בידו להוציא מן הכח אל הפועל הכחות שישנם אצלו לפעול ולהשפיע על סביבתו לקרבם ליהדות ולהאירם באור תורה ולחממם בחום תורת החסידות, הוא הוא המאור שבתורה.

והעיקר שיהי' חזק בבטחונו בהשי"ת, אשר אחר שעשה נסיעתו למדינה זו בהסכם וברכת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, הנה הוא שם אף זיינע אחריות, ובהשתדלות הראוי' בטח יצליח בכל הנ"ל. ואל ידאג למה שהוא - כפי לשונו - מסובב בחובות גשמיים נוסף על חובות הרוחניים, שחובת המקום עליו, כי מלוה ה' חונן דל, וכיון שנכנס לחובות כדי לחונן את הדל, אם ברוחניות אם בגשמיות, הרי הוי' הוא הלוה, ובמילא בטוחים בפרעון החוב במילואו.

כבקשתו אזכיר על הציון הק' את כת"ר וזוג' יחיו ואת הרה"ג הוו"ח אי"א וכו' מוה"ר... ובטח צדיקא דאתפטר, דאשתכח בהאי עלמא יתיר מבחיוהי, יתן ברכתו והשי"ת ימלאה בגשמיות וב[רו]חניות.
