By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and

devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav Chaim[1],

Greetings and blessings,

In continuation of my previous letter and your reply. Enclosed please find a receipt for the amount that was collected in your shul* at the seudah* of 19 Kislev and for Maamad*[2]. Please convey my greetings and blessing to all who took part in this seudah*.

Taanis 9a, commenting on the verse "Aser ta'aser — surely tithe," explains: "Tithe so that you may become wealthy." All this is so evident that the Holy One, blessed be He, says: "Please, test Me in this matter."

I am convinced that your participation in this tzedaka* will be the channel for revealing all good, and the verse in fact concludes: "I shall pour out for you a blessing until there be no more sufficiency."

With my blessing, for you and for all who took part in the seudah* of the Yom Tov of all Yom Tovim, 19 Kislev,

בהמשך למכתבי הקודם ובהתאם למענהו, מוסג"פ קבלה עבור הסך שהרימו בביהכ"נ של כ' בסעודת חג י"ט כסלו למעמד. ומטובו למסור ד"ש וברכה לכל המשתתפים בסעודת מצוה זו.

כיון שהגמרא (תענית ט, א) אומרת עה"פ עשר תעשר, עשר בשביל שתתעשר, וכ"כ ברי הדבר עד שהקב"ה אומר בחנוני נא בזאת, מובטחני אשר השתתפותם בצדקה זו תהי' להם צינור להמשכת כל טוב כסיום הפסוק והריקותי לכם ברכה עד בלי די.

בברכה לו ולכל המשתתפים בהסעודה דחג החגים י"ט כסלו,
