By the grace of Hashem,

Rosh Chodesh* Shevat 5711,

To the Chassidim, talmidim* of the yeshiva, and all who are

close to Chassidus*, the Chassidim wherever they may be,

may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

The great and holy day of 10 Shevat, the Hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, is approaching. I therefore wish to underscore the importance of the Chassidic maamar* entitled "Basi LeGani*", which he had published for the day of his passing, 10 Shevat 5710.

Without doubt, you will study it on the night and on the day of the Hilula*.

Here are the words of our leader, in his letters, which appear in kuntreisim* no. 3 and 36:

"This day is propitious for binding oneself to the Tree of Life. Every Chassid will obtain that the merit of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, illumine him and all the members of his family. He gave of himself for us, in order to lead us on the paths of the tzaddikim*, the leaders of the world, our Rebbeim, so that we should receive children, health, and material prosperity.

"Chassidim and talmidim* of the yeshiva, mobilize yourselves and go to the heavenly courtyards, the shuls* and the batei midrash*, to daven, to study Torah in groups. Gather together and feel love for one another. Strengthen your study and those who devote themselves to it, those who consecrate their existence to the service of Hashem.

"Chassidim and talmidim* of the yeshiva, all of you who take part in the Chassidic ways and in Chassidus*, hold yourselves all ready — you, your wives, your sons, your daughters — to receive the blessing of Hashem, life, material abundance, the nachas* of your children, which Hashem will grant you and us.

"For this, we will arouse great mercy from the source of true compassion and goodness, as the meilitzei yosher* obtain. Such will be the intervention of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose Hilula* we are celebrating. And you will be blessed, and have children, health, and material prosperity."

לקראת בא יום הגדול והקדוש הוא יום עשירי בשבט, יום הילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הכ"מ - הנני לעורר אודות מאמרו שנתן להדפיס ליום ההסתלקות, הוא ד"ה באתי לגני - יו"ד שבט תש"י.

אשר בטח תלמדו אותו בליל ויום ההילולא.

ובלשון נשיאנו במכתביו (קונטרס ג, קונט' לו):

מסוגל הוא היום הזה להתקשר בעץ החיים, אשר כאו"א מאנ"ש יזכה שיאיר עליו ועל כל ב"ב שיחיו זכות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, אשר מסר ונתן נפשו הק' עלינו להדריכנו במעגלי צדיקי יסוד עולם הוד כ"ק אבותינו רבותינו הק' זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להושע בבני חייא ומזונא רויחא.

אנ"ש ותלמידי התמימים יחיו, התעוררו ובואו לחצרות ה', בבתי כנסיות ובתי מדרשות, אל התפלה ואל למודי השיעורים ברבים, והתועדו באהבת רעים לחזק את הלמודים בתמיכת לומדי תורה ועוסקים בעבודת השי"ת.

אנ"ש ותלמידי התמימים, וכל הנוטלים חלק בדרכי החסידים והחסידות עמדו הכן כולכם, אתם נשיכם בניכם ובנותיהם, לקבל ברכת הוי' בשפעת חיים ופרנסה טובה ונחת מיוצאי חלציכם, אשר ישפיע השי"ת לכם ולנו על ידי התעוררות רחמים רבים ממקור הרחמים והחסדים האמיתים, ע"ד מכניסי רחמים, אשר יעורר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ בעל ההילולא, וברוכים תהיו בבני חייא ומזונא רויחא.
