By the grace of Hashem,

Greetings and blessing,

You surely remember—and I would like to remind you of it once again here—that you must put into practice what the Frierdiker Rebbe* told you again and again: you must always be joyous.

Likewise, you surely recall our discussion. We observed that the world is not abandoned, chas v'shalom*. Hashem created it and continues to direct it now, at every moment. Nothing escapes Divine Providence (Hashgacha Pratis*). All Yidden*, "believers, sons of believers," are animated by pure emunah*.

Furthermore, everyone knows that Hashem is the perfection of good. And therefore everything He does is for the good (kol mah d'avid Rachmana l'tav avid*).

You must be conscious of all this and meditate on it from time to time. It will then be easier to understand many events of your life and—most importantly—to have the certainty that, in your daily existence, in the words of King David, "Hashem is my shepherd." Consequently, "I shall lack nothing... for You are with me."

I would be happy if you would find a little free time to write me a few lines, telling me how you are feeling. I hope all is well and that you can give me good news in this regard.

בטח זוכר גם את שיחתנו ,שהעולם אינו הפקר ח״ו ,אלא כשם

שהקב״ה ברא אותו ,כך הוא מנהיג אותו גם כעת ,בכל עת ובכל שעה; שום

דבר לא נעשה ללא השגחה פרטית .זוהי אמונה פשוטה של כל בני ישראל,

מאמינים בני מאמינים.

כולם גם מאמינים שהקב״ה הוא תכלית הטוב ,לכן בטוח ,שכל מה

שהוא עושה הוא לטובה.

כשזוכרים זאת ,ומזמן לזמן מתבוננים בזה ,יותר קל להבין הרבה

התרחשויות בחיים ,והדבר העיקרי הוא ,שזה נותן את הבטחון האמיתי

בחיי היום יום ,כפי שדוד המלך אמר; ה׳ רועי -במילא -לא אחסר . .כי

אתה עמדי.

אשמח אם ימצא זמן פנוי לכתוב לי כמה מילים אודות בריאותו .הנני

מאחל לו החלמה טובה ,ומקוה שיוכל לבשר בשורות טובות בזה.
