To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Aryeh Zev[1],

Greetings and blessing,

I read the request for a blessing expressed in your previous letter on the day of the Hilula*, at the tziyun* of the Frierdiker Rebbe*. He aroused great mercy for those bound to him and for the chassidim*, that they obtain the fulfillment of all their needs. He will surely continue to do so.

He himself wrote concerning his father, the Rebbe Rashab*: "prepare yourselves all," as I noted in the letter for the Hilula[2]. You will consult, in this regard, the explanation of the Baal Shem Tov* on the statement of Chazal* that "a person is judged in his own awareness and without his awareness." This is developed at the end of the second chapter of the first maamar* entitled "Ani L'Dodi" in the Sefer HaMaamarim*. And the side of good is much more powerful.

ועדמש"כ הוא עצמו בנוגע לאביו כ"ק אדמו"ר (מהורש"ב) נ"ע (נעתק במכתבי להיא"צ): עמדו הכן כו', ועיין בפי' הבעש"ט במרז"ל מדעתו ושלא מדעתו (הובא בד"ה אני לדודי הא' בס' המאמרים ספ"ב), ומרובה מדה טובה כו'...
