To the students, boys and girls, of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* schools, may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I am writing in response to your letter, in connection with your forthcoming examinations[1]. You should know that a Jew* who studies Torah* fears nothing — not examinations nor any other challenge — since "Hashem is with me, I shall not fear." The power of Torah study and Mitzvot* is unlimited, and the students of our schools, who learn both Torah* and general wisdom, have a double advantage.

As you prepare for your examinations, go in with confidence — the confidence of one who has prepared properly and who trusts in Hashem. Before sitting down to study, before an exam, and at all times, say a chapter of Tehillim* and have in mind that the purpose of all your knowledge is to serve Hashem and to bring benefit to the Jewish people* and to all of humanity.

The days of 12 and 13 Tammuz* — the days of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect you — are approaching. May these days add to your strength and joy, and may you succeed in your examinations and in all your endeavors. With my blessing,

במענה למכתבם, בקשר עם הבחינות הבאות,

בעת רצון אזכירם על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר על שמו נקראו בתי הספר ומתאים לרוחו והוראותיו יתנהלו בעז"ה

למילוי משאלות לבבם לטובה ולברכה ובנקודה העקרית - אשר יוסיפו בהתמדה והתמסרות ללימודי קודש, והלימוד יביא לידי מעשה קיום המצות.

ידוע מאמר רבנו הבעל-שם-טוב, אשר מכל ענין צריך האדם ללמוד בהנוגע לעבודתו את השם יתברך ויתעלה. ומכאן הוראה, לכל איש ואשה הישראליים, שאם יש בחינה באיזה ענין, הרי לכל לראש צריך להתבונן ולעשות בחינת עצמו בעניני קדושה, היינו בתורה ומצות, כי באלה כל אדם נבחן בכל יום,

ובלשון רבנו הזקן (בעל התניא והשו"ע): והנה ה' נצב עליו ומלא כל הארץ כבודו ומביט עליו ובוחן כליות ולב אם עובדו כראוי (תניא פרק מ"א בתחלתו. עיי"ש).
