By the grace of Hashem,

may it be transformed into joy and gladness,

To Madam...,

I bless you and greet you,

I am responding to your letter of 12 Tammuz*, in which you tell me that several years have passed since your marriage and you still have no children[2]. I am surprised that you do not indicate whether you have consulted specialist doctors. Indeed, a person must do everything in his power to act according to the ways of nature. If this has not been done, you should do so now.

Another point, which is essential[3]: the blessing of Hashem for children is very often impeded by a lack of precision in observing the laws and customs of family purity* — Niddah*, ritual examination of purity, ritual immersion in a kosher Mikveh*, by the absence of comprehensive knowledge of all the details. You must therefore verify these with a Rav* who rules on Halacha*, so as to be able to observe them in the proper manner in the future. With my blessing,

במענה למכתבה מי"ב תמוז, בו כותבת שזה איזה שנים לאחרי חתונתם, ועדיין לא נתברכו בפרי הבטן.

ולפלא שאינה כותבת אם שאלו ברופאים מומחים, שהרי על האדם לעשות את התלוי בו בדרך הטבע, ובכל אופן יעשו זה עתה.

ועוד ועיקר כיון שלפעמים קרובות, העכוב בברכת השם לזרעא חייא וקיימא, בא מחסרון דיוק בשמירת חוקי ודיני טהרת המשפחה (נדה, הפסק טהרה, טבילה במקוה כשרה וכו'), מחסרון ידיעה מלאה בכל הפרטים בזה, לכן עליהם לברר אצל רב מורה הוראה כל הפרטים בזה ועל מנת לשמור עליהם מכאן ולהבא ככל הדרוש.
