By the grace of Hashem,

To Mr. Shneur Zalman Mishkari[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I received with pleasure your letter written on the luminous day of 13 Tammuz*, as well as the one that preceded it, in which you give me an account of the last gathering and a summary of the decisions reached. May Hashem make it so that these are followed through in a positive manner, and may the words of our Sages[2] be fulfilled, according to which: "one who possesses a hundred coins desires two hundred, and one who has two hundred wants four hundred" — no longer content with the previous addition. Success in these areas will give rise, as you write, to a second list. I hope it will surpass the first in number and in weight. Just as you have given me good tidings until now, you will continue to do so in the future, in good health and in a favorable state, as you indicate at the end of your letter.

Moreover, your letter was written on the day of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, of which we had spoken when you were here. The teaching of 12 and 13 Tammuz* for each and every one of us is the following[3]: a man was capable of standing firm against the most terrible obstacles. True, who can compare to him? Nevertheless, the difficulties of our time are infinitely smaller. Moreover, the path has already been cleared and laid before us by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, leader of our generation.

May Hashem make it so that these days, "between the afflictions"[4], are transformed into joy and gladness, as the prophet promised[5], and may we merit to see, very soon and in our days, the true and complete redemption through our righteous Mashiach*. With my respects, my blessing for a speedy recovery, and that you bring me good tidings,

שלום וברכה!

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מיום הבהיר י"ג תמוז (והקודמו), בו כותב דו"ח מהישיבה האחרונה וסיכום ההחלטות. ויהי רצון שימלאו החלטותיהם לטובה, ויקויים מאמר חכמינו ז"ל - מי שיש לו מנה רוצה מאתיים, יש לו מאתיים רוצה ארבע מאות (ואינו מסתפק בתוספת מנה כמקודם). וההצלחה בענינים [אלו] תביא, כמו שכותב, רשימה שני', והתקוה שתעלה על הראשונה במנין ובמשקל וכולי. וכשם שבישר בשורות טובות עד עתה כן יבשר להבא, מתוך בריאות נכונה וטיבול מוצלח, שכותב עד"ז בסיום מכתבו.

ובפרט שמכתבו נכתב ביום הגאולה של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, וכמו שנדבר כשהי' כאן, שההוראה די"ב-י"ג תמוז לכל אחד ואחד מאתנו היא, שכשאדם מעמיד עצמו בתוקף מתגבר הוא על המניעות הכי גדולות. ואף שמי ידמה לו, אבל הרי גם המכשולים בזמן הזה קטנים הם שלא בערך, ועוד זאת שהדרך כבר כבושה וסלולה לפנינו, על ידי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא דורנו.

ויהי רצון שימים אלו דבין המצרים יהפכו לששון ולשמחה, כיעוד הנביא, ונזכה לראות במהרה בימינו גאולה האמתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו.

בכבוד ובברכה לרפואה קרובה ולבשורות טובות.
