To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Yehoshua[1],

I greet and bless you,

I am replying to your letter in which you request my blessing. At a propitious moment, it will be read near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us. With my respects and my blessing that you give me good news,

N.B.: You mention your state of health. When there are diverging opinions, such as those you describe, it is appropriate to consult three physicians and to follow the majority opinion. May Hashem cause to apply, in this matter, the words of the verse[2]: 'Hashem your Hashem will bless you in all that you do.' I take this opportunity to remind you once again of the pleasure I experienced reading your book. It deals with clay vessels in Talmudic* literature. May Hashem fulfill the wishes of your heart regarding the book to which you are presently devoting yourself, which concerns glass vessels. Likewise, I seize this opportunity to fulfill the obligation and merit of highlighting for you how necessary it is to set aside time for the study of the inner dimension of Torah, which in our age has been revealed through Chassidus*. This is in addition to the study of the revealed part of Torah, in particular in accordance with the words of the Baal Shem Tov*, cited in his holy epistle, concerning the spreading of the wellsprings[3] outward. לכתבו בעניני בריאות, במקום חילוקי דיעות כזה שכותבם, יש לעשות התייעצות משלשה רופאים ולהחליט כהרוב, ויהי רצון שיקוים בזה מ"ש , וברכך ה"א בכל אשר תעשה.

וכאן מקום אתי להביע עוה"פ התענוג מהקריאה ועיון בהזדמנות מתאימה בספר[ו], כלי החרס בספרות התלמוד, והשי"ת ימלא משאלות לבבו לטובה בנוגע לספרו שעוסק בו עתה (בנוגע לכלי זכוכית).

כן כאן מקום אתי, החובה (והזכות) לעוררו על ההכרח להיות לו קביעות עתים גם בלימוד פנימיות התורה, שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, נוסף על לימודו בנגלה דתורה, ובודאי לדכוותי' האריכות בגודל הענין, אך למותר.
