To the distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Chaim[1],

Greetings and blessing,

I received in their time your two letters, with the two checks that accompanied them—one for the printing of a sefer* of the Frierdiker Rebbe* and the other for Maamad*[2]. Thank you very much, and enclosed are the receipts.

As you requested, I mentioned your name and that of your wife at the tziyun* of the Frierdiker Rebbe, for the fulfillment of all your needs. He has surely invoked Divine mercy and will continue to do so for both of you, that you have good health and tranquility of body and soul, and also that you be joyous.

Indeed, you have just received and accepted the merit of publishing a sefer of his maamarim* and sichos*. In this way, you will illuminate many homes throughout the world. Consequently, it is fitting that you receive light and warmth in your own home. To obtain them, it suffices to open wide the doors and windows.

One can do this by studying Tehillim*, Chumash* with Rashi's commentary, Tanya*, and a few passages from the Rebbe's maamarim and sichos. It is in this way that one opens his heart and his head.

You ask me when to send the balance of this amount[3]. I do not wish to exert any pressure upon you, but the more rapidly we receive it, the more quickly the proofreader, the printer, and all the others will be able to do their work.

I hope that in your next letter you will inform me that your spirits have improved, that your state of health has improved, as well as that of your wife.

של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר ,וכן עבור מעמד ,קבלתי בעתו .מצו״ב הקבלות ברוב

תודה.

לפי בקשתו ,הזכרתי אותו ואת זוגתו שתי׳ להמצטרך להם על ציון כ״ק

מו״ח אדמו״ר .ובטח כבר עורר וגם הלאה יעורר רחמים למעלה ,עבור שניכם

לבריאות הנכונה ולמנוחת הנפש והגוף ,וגם שתהיו יותר שמחים .ובפרט כעת,

שקיבל ולקח על עצמו את הזכות של הדפסת ספר ממאמריו או שיחותיו ,ועי״ז

להאיר בכמה וכמה בתים יהודיים בכל קצוי תבל ,בטח הרויח שזה ימשיך אור

וחמימות אצל עצמו .צריך רק לפתוח את הדלתות והחלונות כדי שזה יכנס

פנימה ,וזהו ע״י תהלים ,תורה )חומש עם רש״י ,תניא ,שיעור במאמרים או

שיחות של הרבי ,וכיו״ב( שזה פותח את הלב ואת הראש.

על שאלתו מתי לשלוח את שאר הכסף ~ אינני רוצה להקשות עליו.

אבל ככל שהכסף יהי׳ כאן יותר מוקדם ,כך יקדימו המסדר ,המדפיס וכו׳

לעשות את עבודתם.

אקוה שבמכתב הבא יכתוב גם על שיפור במצב רוחו ,ומבריאות שניהם.
