I greet and bless you,
I am replying to your letter of 23 Menachem Av, in which you describe the obstacles you have encountered until now in finding a good match. You know the teaching that has been delivered on this subject. One must retain the essential point[1] — that the young woman should correspond to the terms of the verse[2]: 'A woman who fears Hashem is worthy of praise' — meaning that she observes the Mitzvot* in daily life.
Of course, one must, for this purpose, strengthen one's daily conduct so that it conforms to the directives of our Torah*, Torah of life, and to the observance of its Mitzvot*, of which it is said[3]: 'And you shall live by them.' With my blessing,

במענה למכתבו מכ"ג מנ"א, בו כותב אודות העכובים עד עתה בנוגע שידוכין.
וידועה ההוראה בכגון זה, להתבונן בעיקר שתהי' המדוברת מתאימה למ"ש אשה יראת ה' היא תתהלל, ז.א. שומרת מצות בחיי היום יומים,
ומובן שהאמור הוא מתוך הוספה בהנהגה בחיי היום יומים שתהא מתאימה להוראות תורתנו תורת חיים ובקיום מצותי' עליהם נאמר וחי בהם, והרי בעניני טוב וקדושה, ככל שיהי' המצב גם טוב, תמיד יש מקום להוסיף, כיון שקשורים בהקב"ה שהוא אין סופי.
