By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Shlomo HaLevi*,[1]
I greet you and bless you,
I have duly received your letter from the conclusion of this Shabbat*, along with what was enclosed. May Hashem bring about that you give me good tidings of its contents, especially since we are on an auspicious day — the birthday of the Rabbi Rashab*. It is said of everyone that on this day his Mazal* dominates.[2] How much more is this so for an upright Tzaddik*,[3] whose days were whole[4] and who was "advanced in days," since not a single one of them was missing from him.[5]
When a Tzaddik*, leader of Israel, experiences elevation,[6] all those who follow his path — his disciples and the disciples of his disciples — accompany him, as is quite obvious. With my blessing to give me good tidings,

ובפרט שעומדים אנו ביום סגולה, יום הולדת כ"ק אדמו"ר (מהורש"ב) נ"ע.
אשר אם בהנוגע לכל אחד אמרו שמזלו גובר, עאכו"כ בצדיק תמים , אשר ימיו תמימים ובא בימים, ולא חסר יומא חדא.
ובצדיק נשיא ישראל, הרי בעלייתו עולים עמו כל ההולכים בעקבותיו, תלמידיו ותלמידי תלמידיו וכו' וק"ל.
