To the young Avraham Shmuel* HaCohen[1],

I greet and bless you,

I am responding to your letter in which you ask me when to return here. It is quite clear that in the middle of the school year there is no reason whatsoever to change Yeshiva*. This question will therefore arise shortly before the end of the school year at the Yeshiva Tom'chei Temimim* of Kfar Chabad* — that is to say, just before this month of Elul*. Moreover, there will then surely be a group of young men coming here. Now, traveling within a group presents various advantages.

In the meantime, it is certain[2] that your conduct will be in conformity with the teaching of our Sages[3]: "you will make efforts"[2] — and therefore it is certain that: "you will find" — both the revealed part of Torah* and Chassidut* — and that this study will lead to action[4], to the practice of Mitzvot* in the best possible way, as our Sages teach. With my blessing for bringing me good news of all this,

הנה מובן שבאמצע זמן הלימודים, אין רצוי כלל וכלל לשנות מישיבה לישיבה, ולכן יש לדון על האמור קרוב לסיום שנת הלימודים בתומכי תמימים דכפר חב"ד, ז.א.

בסמיכות לחדש אלול הבע"ל, ובפרט שבטח תסע אז קבוצה לכאן, שכמה מעלות בנסיעה עם קבוצה.

בינתים בודאי יתנהג מתאים להוראת חז"ל יגעת (ותקוים ההבטחה) ומצאת, הן בנגלה והן בחסידות, והן שהלימוד יביא לידי מעשה קיום מצות בהידור כהוראת חז"ל.
