To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav* Ephraim Zalman,

I greet and bless you,

It is with great delay that I received your letter, announcing terrible news, the passing of your father, may you yourself have a long and good life. May Hashem bring it about that in the future you no longer know pain and sorrow, Heaven forbid. You, your mother, and all the members of your family, will know only good, a visible and tangible good, always and every day. With my blessing to receive good news, as well as on the occasion of the festival of the liberation[1],

We have just published a collection of Chassidic discourses of my father-in-law, the Rabbi, leader of Israel, relating to the festival of the liberation of the 12th and 13th of Tammuz. I have good hope that you yourself and your brothers will study it with all the necessary attention. This will contribute to the elevation of your father's soul.
