I greet you and bless you,
I received your letter with delay. You are no doubt aware that since the passing of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, I have not left New York, not even for a short period(1). Of course, there is no reason to regret this, since wherever a Jew is, there is a place of service and mission, and the blessing of Hashem is present everywhere.
With regard to the questions you raise: the matter of doubt concerning the get*(2) — I have already addressed this question several times and the answer is well known. The questioner must consult with a rabbi who is an expert in this area and who knows the particulars of the case, and act accordingly.
Regarding the matter of the shochet*(3) — since there are two opinions among the local rabbis, the matter should be brought before a third party whose authority both sides accept, or before a rabbinical court. In any event, it is not my place to intervene in a dispute of this nature from a distance, as I lack full knowledge of all the facts.
With regard to your personal situation — may Hashem guide you on the straight path and grant you success in all you undertake, materially and spiritually.

מכתבו נתקבל באיחור זמן. ובודאי ידוע לו שמעת הסתלקות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר לא נסעתי מניו-יארק אפילו נסיעה לזמן קצר.
מובן שאין כאן מקום לבקשת מחילה ולהתנצלות, כי אין תוכן מכתבו מסוג הזקוק לזה, ואדרבה .
דרך "אגב", ראוי להעיר בנוגע להכיוון שנתנו לאחרונה להנסיעות לאה"ק ת"ו. שאף שבעניני תורה ומצוה אמרו חכמינו ז"ל לעולם יעשה אדם בהם שלא לשמה, שמתוך שלא לשמה בא לשמה, עדין צריך עיון אם גם האמור נכלל בזה, וד"ל.
כבמכתבי הקודם ארשה לעצמי עוה"פ לעורר ע"ד החיוב על האב לבנו להשיאו אשה, שאף שאופן הפעולה בזה משתנה לפי המקום והזמן מאחר שהמטרה להצליח במקום ובזמן מסויים, אבל עצם החיוב הרי זה הוראת תורתנו שלא תהי' מוחלפת וכו'.
ואסיים על דרך התחלת מכתבו הוא אלי בהתנצלות על התערבותי בענין שכבר דברתי ושבודאי נוגע לו ביותר, והתקוה שימחול ויסלח.
בודאי יודע פרשת ימים אלו די"ב-י"ג תמוז, גאולת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ממאסרו לפני ארבעים שנה בדיוק.
