I greet you and bless you,

It is doubtless unnecessary to emphasize to you that everything that can be done to raise the level of studies — which depends above all on the situation of the teachers and on their compensation — should be done with all possible energy and speed. This is particularly the case in the current period, following the great miracles that Hashem performed for His people in the Land of Israel*. The Jewish world must respond to these miracles with greater devotion to Torah* study and to Jewish identity — and this begins with the schools and with the teachers.

I therefore ask you to use your position and your connections to strengthen the Torah* educational institutions in your area — by improving the conditions of the teachers, by attracting qualified educators, and by raising the standards of the curriculum. Every improvement in this area has an effect that reverberates far beyond the classroom and far beyond the immediate generation.

May Hashem bless your efforts and grant you success in this most important work.
