Igrot Kodesh · Letter 9375
Volume 24 · Letter 345 · To: dais nuptial et aux bonnes actions. Vous respecterez la pureté familiale
It[1] would be good[2] to arrange a consultation among two or three specialist physicians from the Memorial Hospital[3] or alternatively from the Mayo Clinic Rochester[3]. And you will follow their prescription. However, one must not accept a treatment that would require severing the optic[3] nerve, which would result in immediate blindness, Heaven forbid.
She will have a prompt and complete recovery. You will raise her to Torah*, to the chuppah*, and to good deeds. You will observe family purity*, at least from now on. You will send me the names of your daughter and your own names, so that I may mention them at the gravesite[4].
