Igrot Kodesh · Letter 9402
Volume 25 · Letter 24 · 2 Kislev 5728 · To: Esther Ra’hel
By the grace of Hashem,
2 Kislev* 5728,
Brooklyn, New York,
To Mr. Menachem Mendel[1] and
to Mrs. Esther Rachel,
I greet you and bless you,
I have duly received your contribution to Tzedakah*, which was surely given with joy and enthusiasm, which further enhances the Mitzvah*[2]. There is surely no need to emphasize to you the great importance of Tzedakah* in general and, in particular, of that which is linked to benevolence[3] and, in part, also to the education of Jewish girls[3]. In due course, all these students will become homemakers[4] of a Jewish home, within a Jewish family. And in yet another part, finally, to the Tefillin* campaign[3]. The Gemara*[6] relates that when a Jew wears Tefillin*, this has a "resonance" upon the Tefillin* of the Holy One Blessed Be He, whose parchments proclaim the praise of Israel. In this way, Jews receive particular blessings and favorable elements.
May Hashem enable you to continue acting with regard to Torah* and Mitzvot* in general, and Tzedakah* in particular, for long days and good years, in joy and good health. With my blessing for the fulfillment of all your needs, material and spiritual,
