Volume 25 · Letter 43 · To: huit hommes qui ont reçu l’onction : “Ichaï(9)
[Sunday, eve of Rosh Chodesh* Tevet*,
fifth day of Chanukah* 5728]
May[1] Hashem cause[2] that all of this[3] bear fruit and "fruits of fruits," to the ends of the world — Olam*, from the same root as Elem*, the veil, as Chassidut* clearly[4] establishes[5] — until: "the glory of the Eternal will be revealed[4] and all flesh together will see that the mouth of Hashem speaks"[6], very soon.
Indeed, these days are auspicious, as it is written[7]: "And[4], the Eternal will illuminate my darkness," in an ever-increasing manner[8], the eight days of Chanukah* corresponding to the eight men who received anointing: "Yishai*[9], Shaul*[10]... Mashiach* and Eliyahu*[4]," according to Torah Or*, p. 33d[11].
On this fifth day of Chanukah*, I have mentioned your names near the resting place[12].
