To my close relative, the Rav*, distinguished and agreeable Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Azryel Zelig[1],

I greet and bless you,

I am replying[2] to your question concerning the name that should be given to the synagogue of the Old City[3], may it be restored and rebuilt. It is fitting to call the main space of this synagogue — the principal place of prayer, designated for Chassidic* gatherings — "Synagogue Tzemach T..."

במענה לשאלתו בדבר קריאת שם הבית הכנסת בעיר העתיקה ת"ו, צריכים לקרוא את עיקר הבית הכנסת (עיקר מקום התפילה, המקום הקבוע להתועדויות הגדולות וכדומה) בשם "בית הכנסת "צמח צדק – חב"ד" בירושלים העתיקה ת"ו" .

בחלק שני של בית הכנסת (כגון חדר שני – חב"דניצע, עלית הבית וכדומה) ישאר השם הקודם (כיון שככתבו, י"ל שהשקיע זה ששמו נתוסף לביהכנ"ס – כסף בבנינו וכו').
