I bless and greet you,
I am replying to your letter of 21 Tevet*. The fact that the parents[1] are divorced should not be an obstacle to the engagement. It is sufficient that both of them[2] make the decision to establish their home in Israel on the Torah* and the Mitzvot*, in their daily lives.
Your request for a blessing will be read, at an opportune moment, near the tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us.
