By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

You inform me of the condition of your wife and here is my response.[1] May Hashem fill the days of her pregnancy in the fitting manner and may it be an easy one. May she have, in due time and easily, a healthy child. You know the instruction of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*,[2] whose merit will protect us, according to which: "until the beginning of the fifth month of pregnancy, one does not make one's condition known."

It would be good to have your Tefillin* checked, as well as the Mezuzot* of your home, to ensure their compliance with Halacha*. You have surely taken part in the Tefillin* campaign[3] and will henceforth do so with even more enthusiasm, since you have an additional reason — to serve as a conduit for the blessings of Hashem for your wife and for the child who is to be born.

מהנכון לבדוק התפילין שלו וכן המזוזות בדירתם – שתהיינה כולם כשירות כדין.
