By the grace of Hashem,
3 Nissan 5728,

To the Chabad* women of Kfar Chabad*,
may Hashem grant you long life,
I bless you and greet you,
I have duly received your letter of 27 Adar, the one preceding it, as well as your wax candles. May Hashem cause "the candle (which) is a Mitzva* and the Torah* (which) is a light"[1] to illuminate the home of each one of you, within the entirety of our people, the children of Israel. In this way, all domains will be illuminated by the blessing of Hashem, His light and His salvation, both in their material and spiritual aspects. According to the words of the verse:[2] "by Your Light," that of Hashem, "we will see light" — a visible and tangible light, the blessing of Hashem in everything necessary for the home and those within it, from His full, open, holy and generous hand.
These days are auspicious for this, since "for the children of Israel there was light in their dwellings"[3] — "in these days, at that time." On the occasion of Pesach*, the time of our freedom, which is approaching, for us and for all Israel, for good and for blessing, I extend my wishes to each one of you and to the members of your families, for a kosher* and joyous Pesach* festival, for a true liberation from all that disturbs the service of Hashem in joy and enthusiasm, as well as to prolong this freedom and this joy throughout the year. With my blessing,

ברכה ושלום!
מאשר אני בזה קבלת מכתבן מכ"ז אדר והקודמו, וכן נרות השעוה שנתקבלו אל נכון.
ויהי רצון אשר נר מצוה ותורה אור יאירו בבית כל אחת ואחת מהן בתוככי כללות עמנו בני ישראל, שעל ידי זה יאירו כל הענינים בברכת ה' אורו וישעו, ענינים הגשמיים והרוחנים גם יחד, ובלשון הכתוב : באורך (של השי"ת) נראה אור, אור הנגלה והנראה, ברכת ה' בהמצטרך להבית ובני הבית, מידו המלאה הפתוחה הקדושה והרחבה.
והרי הימים ימי סגולה, אשר לבני ישראל הי' אור במושבותם בימים ההם בזמן הזה.
ולקראת חג הפסח, זמן חרותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני שולח ברכתי לכל אחת ואחת מהן ובני ביתן שיחיו לחג הפסח כשר ושמח וחרות אמתית מכל ענינים המבלבלים לעבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב, ולהמשיך מחרות ושמחה זו בכל ימות השנה.
