[Beginning of the month of Sivan 5728]

To each Bar Mitsva* boy, among the war orphans,
in our Holy Land, may Hashem grant you
long days and good years[1],

I greet and bless you warmly,

I share in your joy[2] as you reach the age of Bar Mitsva*. May Hashem cause you to accept with joy the yoke of our Torah*, Torah of life, and its Mitsvot*, and may you put them into practice in good health and in tranquility, for Hashem will establish peace in the land. Great is the merit of Torah* and Mitsvot* which protect the land and our people everywhere, inspiring dread and fear in all enemies and oppressors.

In this regard, the Mitsva* of Tefillin* possesses a special virtue, as our Sages[3] observe: "all nations shall fear you." In this way, you will bring true satisfaction to your father, whose blood Hashem will avenge. For from the World of Truth in which he dwells, he observes what befalls his children and derives immense pleasure from their good conduct, feeling intense joy as he watches them advance from strength to strength[4] in our Torah*, Torah of Truth, and in its Mitsvot*.

I convey my wishes of Mazal Tov* for the Bar Mitsva* and my blessing to receive the Torah* with joy and in a profound manner, at the approaching festival of the giving of our Torah*,

לכל אחד ואחד מהברי מצוה יתומי המלחמה בארצנו הקדושה שליט"א

שלום וברכה רבה!

משתתף הנני בשמחתך לרגל הגיעך לעונת בר מצוה, ויהי רצון שתקבל עליך עול תורתנו תורת חיים ומצותי' בשמחה, ותקיימם מתוך בריאות ומנוחה כי יתן ה' שלום בארץ, וגדול זכות התורה והמצות להגן על הארץ ועמנו בכל מקום שהם ולהפיל אימתה ופחד על כל אויב וצר. וסגולה מיוחדת במצות תפילין אשר כהודעת חז"ל כל עמי הארץ יראו ממך, ובכל זה תגרום נחת רוח אמיתי לאביך ה' יקום דמו, אשר מעולם האמת בו הוא נמצא משגיח בהנעשה את ילדיו, מתענג עונג רב בהנהגתם הטובה ושמח שמחה גדולה בראותו אשר הולכים הם מחיל אל חיל בתורתנו תורת אמת ומצותי'.

בברכת מזל טוב לה"בר מצוה" ובברכה לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות בחג מתן תורתנו הבא.
