By the grace of Hashem,

Issru Chag*[1] of Shavuot* 5728,
Brooklyn, New York,

To the participants of the annual celebration of the New York committee for the teachers' seminary and girls' schools of Kfar Chabad*, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless and greet you,

You have informed me that your gathering will take place on the 13th of Sivan, which is approaching, and may Hashem cause it to be a success in every respect, in the best possible way.

One may hope that on this occasion, all the participants will reflect on the fundamental role of these educational institutions, particularly in the current situation[2] and the conditions that are known. For if Jewish girls, the future[3] "mistresses of the home"[4], have always held a central place in Jewish life, their mission is considerably enhanced in the present era. For in our times and under current conditions, the management of the home encompasses different achievements and a moral content — for example, the education of children — which have been transferred from the master of the home[4] to the mistress of the home[4], meaning that girls must today receive a much broader and far deeper preparation than in previous generations.

This is also the purpose of the seminary and girls' schools of Kfar Chabad* in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, which you have the merit of supporting, collaborating in their strengthening and development.

The great merit that this sacred mission entails will protect each of you, together with the members of your family. May Hashem grant you success in your work and the satisfaction of all your needs, material and spiritual. With my blessing for success, as well as to give me good news,
