To the directors of Gan Yisrael*,
may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet and bless you,

I reproduce here the text of the blessing that the Rebbe Shlita* was kind enough to address to the Gan Yisrael* centers, on the occasion of their opening this year.

Shabbat* of the Parasha* "Rise up, O well[1], and respond to this song[2]" 5728,

To the participants of Gan Yisrael*,
may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet and bless you,

May the opening of Gan Yisrael* and your arrival within it be at a good and fruitful moment. May success and blessing continue in everything concerning Gan Yisrael*, materially and spiritually. May Gan Yisrael*, as its name indicates, nurture good trees bearing beautiful fruits. And may the verse[3] be fulfilled in you: "Let my Beloved" — the Holy One, blessed be He — "come into my garden" — the place of His pleasure[4] — the dwelling of Hashem, blessed be He, built through the study of our Torah* and the practice of its Mitsvot*, illuminated by Chassidic* clarity and vitality, in accordance with the will and hope of him whose deliverance we are celebrating[5], my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

With my blessing for a good Shabbat*, as well as for success,

Furthermore, 'respond to this song' emphasizes that the awakening is of heavenly origin. Through the practice of Torah and Mitsvot, one rises above the imprisonment within the animal soul, toward the light of life, as the Likkutei Torah* and Or HaTorah* explain, with regard to this verse."
