To Madame Geoula Cohen(1),

I bless and greet you,

All this time I have had no news from you, and I was therefore looking for a pretext to write to you. This presented itself today in the form of an item that appeared in the J.T.A.(2) bulletin, an excerpt of which I enclose. The content of this item relates essentially to what was the subject of our exchange(3). In addition, I would like you to give me news on this matter — that is, concerning the birth rate in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt. I will not repeat my remarks here, as I am confident you still remember them.

I also enclose a copy of a letter by a physician from the Land of Israel, published in the journal Ha-Refuah*(4), which deals with the same subject. May Hashem grant that your intervention in this matter, among all the other actions undertaken in the right direction, have positive repercussions in the broadest possible scope.

Of course, I am also interested in the other points we discussed here. The more detail you provide, the better. With my blessing, and to give me good news, and thanking you in advance for all this,

כיון שלא שמעתי ממנה כל העת, צפיתי לאמתלא לכתוב אלי', ונזדמנה היום בידיעה מגליון המודיעין של י.ט.א. , שמצו"ב קטע ממנו, אשר תוכן הידיעה משתייך לעיקר הענין שדיברנו עליו וגם רציתי לשמוע ממנה חדשות בדבר – היינו הילודה באה"ק ת"ו, ולא אכפול כאן הדברים, כי תקותי חזקה אשר רשומים הם בזכרונה.

כן מצרף הנני בזה העתק מכתב מרופא ארץ-ישראלי אשר הופיע בעתון "הרפואה", ואשר גם למכתב זה שייכות להענין.

ויהי רצון אשר פעולתה בזה, בתוככי פעולות כל אשר המשתדלים בשטח זה בכיוון הרצוי, תביא תוצאות טובות ובממדים הכי מקסימליים.

מובן שהנני מתענין גם בשאר הענינים שדוברו כאן, וכל הפירוט בזה ישובח.
