To the great Rav, distinguished and erudite chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, Rav Sh. Y.[1],

Greetings and blessings,

You have surely received my telegram and my letter regarding the elections and their cancellation[2].

Incidentally, I would like to add the following remark. The commentators on the Midrash Esther Rabbah are puzzled by its interpretation[3]: "Do not read 'banayich' (your sons), but read 'bonayich' (your builders)." Now one can answer this question, it seems, by introducing a preliminary inquiry.

How does this verse establish that the measure of Hashem is always abundant? The Midrash therefore answers: "Do not read 'your sons' but read 'your Builder,'" that is to say the Holy One, blessed be He, Himself, Who has made and fashioned you in every possible way.

Nevertheless, the printer retained the version found in Tractate Berachos[4] and, by error, wrote "your builders" in the plural.

I enclose the kuntres* edited on the occasion of Purim and a copy of the letter that accompanies it. I have good hope that they will interest you.
