To Mrs. Sim'ha,

I bless you and greet you,

Through the distinguished and pleasant rabbi, who dedicates himself to communal needs, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Raskin[1], I have duly received your request for a blessing for yourself and for the members of your family. At an opportune moment, I will mention your names at the tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, and Hashem will grant the wishes of your heart, for good and for blessing.

Rabbi Raskin writes to me that you exert a positive influence on many Jewish children. You are surely aware of the great merit this represents. Indeed, each of them is the son of Hashem, blessed be He, and one knows the saying of the Baal Shem Tov*[2] that Hashem loves each Jewish man and woman more than a father loves his only son, whom he had when he had already reached an advanced age. By the merit of your actions aimed at drawing their hearts closer to their Father Who is in heaven, you will be blessed — yourself, together with your husband and your children — in all your needs, both material and spiritual. With my blessing for success, to give me good tidings, as well as to be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year,

על ידי הרב הנעלה והנכבד, עוסק בצרכי ציבור וכו', הרב יהודא ליב ראסקין שי' נתקבלה בקשת ברכה בעדה ובעד בני ביתה שיחיו.

ובעת רצון אזכירם על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע והשם יתברך ימלא משאלות לבבם לטובה ולברכה.

הרב ראסקין שי' כותב לי שיש לה השפעה טובה על כמה וכמה ילדי ישראל, ובודאי מכירה גודל הזכות שבזה, כיון שכל אחד מהם נקרא בנו של המקום ברוך הוא, וידוע פתגם הבעל שם טוב אשר גדולה אהבת השי"ת לכל אחד ואחת מישראל יותר מאהבת אב לבנו יחידו שנולד לו לעת זקנתו. ובזכות פעולותי' לקרב לבם לאביהם שבשמים תתברך היא ובעלה וילדיהם שיחיו בכל המצטרך בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
