To the great Rabbi, distinguished Chasid* who fears Hashem and dedicates himself to communal needs, with extensive knowledge, Rabbi C. Y.[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I have received, with pleasure, your letter[2] in which you tell me that the descendants of the great Rabbi, distinguished Chasid who fears Hashem, Rabbi Baruch Mordechai of Babruysk*, one of the great disciples of the Admor HaZaken*, have conceived the favorable project[3] of immortalizing his memory in the week of the Torah portion: "When you come to the land that the Eternal your Hashem gives you as an inheritance... you shall go to the place that the Eternal your Hashem will choose"[4].

Indeed, it was when they arrived in Jerusalem*[5] that it became their inheritance, an eternal inheritance, and Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai* said that the two elements mentioned in this regard — rest and inheritance[6] — constitute Jerusalem. All this begins during the preceding Shabbat*, which grants its blessing to all the days[7] and which is precisely the anniversary of the passing of this great Rabbi and Chasid. His memory is thus immortalized through the collection of works of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chasidut* which has been given to Yeshivat Torat Emet*[8], founded by our masters and leaders, in the holy city of Jerusalem, may it be restored and rebuilt.

May Hashem therefore bring it about that this collection of books achieves its purpose and its objective. In the words of the one whose yahrzeit* we are marking, in his approbation to the Likkutei Torah* of the Admor HaZaken[9]: "these books emanating from the house of the master will illuminate the branches of holiness, and those who see them will be able to perceive this. They will inflame the hearts of those who study them and dedicate themselves to them; they will draw the hearts of Israel closer to their Father Who is in heaven."

To use the formulation of this approbation, one could say: let us be grateful to the descendants of the one whose passing we are commemorating, who will undoubtedly expand this collection of books in the appropriate manner, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The merit of all depends on it. Those who study these books, who dedicate themselves to their content in order to magnify the Torah — Torah of truth — and to beautify it, until we merit the fulfillment of the promise[10] that: "Knowledge, wisdom and truth will multiply, as it is said[11]: 'for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Hashem'" — with the coming of this king who will be a descendant of David[12], will teach the people[13] and guide them in the way of Hashem.

I send you my blessing for success in assembling this library and developing it, as well as my wishes that all those who participate in the celebration of its creation and in the Shabbat that precedes it may be inscribed and sealed for a good year, strengthening this endeavor and developing it. May you have long days, good years, and give me good tidings of all this.

בנועם קבלתי מכתב כת"ר בו מודיע אשר דבר טוב רחש לבם של צאצאי הרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"נ כו' מוה"ר ברוך מרדכי נ"ע מבאַברויסק, מגדולי תלמידי רבנו הזקן, להנציח –

בשבוע דפ' כי תבוא אל הארץ אשר הוי' אלקיך נותן לך נחלה גו' והלכת אל המקום אשר יבחר הוי' אלקיך,

ומשבאו לירושלים היא היתה נחלה, נחלת עולמים, ואמר ר' שמעון בן יוחי זו וזו – מנוחה ונחלה – ירושלים .

וההתחלה ביום השבת קדש שלפניו, דמני' מתברכין כולי יומי, והרי הוא היא"צ של הרה"ג והרה"ח וכו' נ"ע –

את זכרו על ידי יסוד אוסף ספרים בנגלה וחסידות על יד ישיבת תורת אמת – מיסודם של רבותינו נשיאינו – בירושלים עיה"ק תובב"א.

ויהי רצון אשר יצליח אוסף ספרים זה במטרתו ותכליתו, וכלשון בעל היא"צ בהסכמתו לספר לקו"ת לרבנו הזקן – הני ספרי דבי רב יאירו ענפי הקדושה הרואה אומר ברקאי כו' להלהיב הלבבות (של כל הלומדים ועוסקים בהם) ולקרב לבן של ישראל לאביהם שבשמים.

ובסגנון ההמשך בהסכמה האמורה: בואו ונחזיק טובה לצאצאיו (של בעל היא"צ) אשר בודאי ירחיבו אוצר ספרים זה ככל הדרוש, הן בכמות והן באיכות וזכות הרבים תלוי בהם, כל הלומדים בספרים אלו ועוסקים בדבריהם להגדיל תורה, תורת אמת, ולהאדירה, עדי נזכה לקיום היעוד

אשר תרבה הדעה והחכמה והאמת שנאמר כי מלאה הארץ דעה את הוי', עם ביאת אותו המלך שיעמוד מזרע דוד וילמד כל העם ויורה אותם דרך הוי' כו'.

בברכת הצלחה ביסוד היכל ספרים האמור והרחבתו, ובברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לכל המשתתפים בחגיגת היסוד ובשבת שלפניו, ובביסוס המפעל והרחבתו, שליט"א ולבשורות טובות בכ"ז,
