By the grace of Hashem,

24 Elul* 5728,

To the leaders of the Zichron Rivka* charitable fund[1], at the Ahavat Yisrael* Chabad* synagogue of Bnei Brak*, may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I learned of the founding of your charitable fund in due time, upon the generous initiative of the Chasid*, Rabbi Zeev Dov Ludmir. I hope that since then your activities have become increasingly broad, in collaboration with those who pray in your synagogue and the Chasidim* of your city.

Our Sages note[2] that charity is also given to the wealthy. May Hashem therefore bring it about that there be fulfilled very soon the promise[3] that: "there will be no more poor among you," so that your activity will be directed exclusively toward the wealthy.

In fact, these days are propitious[4], since the King is in the field and He welcomes each one with goodwill, showing a smiling face to all — according to the well-known image of the Admor HaZaken*, author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch*, in the Likkutei Torah*, portion Re'eh*, p. 32.

Our Father and our King will receive the prayers and requests of each of us, within all of Israel, with goodwill and a smiling face, from His full, open, holy and abundant hand[5]. With my respects, my blessing for success in your sacred mission, as well as to be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, both materially and spiritually,

שלום וברכה!

בעתו קבלתי הידיעה מיסוד הגמ"ח ביזמתו ונדיבותו של הרה"ח ר' זאב דוב שי' לודמיר.

ותקותי שמאז ועד עתה התרחבו הפעולות הלוך ומוסיף בשיתוף פעולה ממתפללי ביהכ"נ ואנ"ש שי' במחנם הט'.

ומתאים לדברי חכמינו ז"ל אשר גמילות חסדים הוא גם לעשירים, יהי רצון שבקרוב ממש יקויים היעוד אפס כי לא יהי' בך אביון וגו', ותהיינה הפעולות אך לעשירים.

והרי הימים ימי סגולה אשר המלך נמצא בשדה כו' והוא מקבל את כולם בסבר פנים יפות ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם וכו', על פי המשל הידוע של רבינו הזקן בעל התניא והשלחן ערוך (לקו"ת פ' ראה דף לב).

ואבינו מלכנו יקבל תפלות ובקשות כל אחד ואחד מאתנו בתוככי כלל ישראל בסבר פנים יפות ושוחקות, מידו המלאה הפתוחה הקדושה והרחבה.

בכבוד ובברכה להצלחה בעבודתם בקדש ולכתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
