I greet and bless you,

The people of Kfar Chabad* who came here for Rosh Hashana*[1] conveyed your greetings and those of the members of your family. They also informed me of your personal interest in the Kfar and of the assistance you kindly provide them. Without a doubt, you will not cease to bestow this goodness in the future and will even increase it greatly whenever possible. It is unnecessary to offer great thanks for all of this, for a good deed generates its own reward, and according to the words of our Sages, may their memory be a blessing, "the reward of a Mitzvah* is the Mitzvah itself".

On the occasion of the new year that approaches, for us and for all of Israel, for the good and for blessing, I hereby extend to you and to all your household my wishes that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year. With my respect, my blessing, and in gratitude for your assistance to Kfar Chabad,

שלום וברכה!

אנשי ועד כפר חב"ד שבאו לכאן לראש השנה מסרו פ"ש ממנו ומב"ב שיחיו.

והנני בזה להביע לו ולכל אשר לו איחולי הלבביים לשנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, בנוסח המסורתי והמקודש ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה.

ובמיוחד אשר ה' אלקי צבאות ינחנו בתפקידו הכי אחראי, שבודאי כשנותנים למישהו תפקיד ניתנים הכוחות להוציא התפקיד לפועל על הצד הכי טוב, ומכל שכן תפקיד הנוגע לצבא ישראל וכלשון הכתוב "כי ה' אלקיכם ההולך עמכם להלחם לכם עם אויביכם להושיע אתכם" (דברים כ, ד) ואומר "כי ה' אלקיך מתהלך בקרב מחנך להצילך ולתת אויביך לפניך והי' מחנך קדוש" (שם כג, טו) ועל אחת כמה וכמה בשעה של מתח וכולי, שרק יראת העונש ופעולות תגמול ביכולתה למנוע חבלנות וכו'.

והמברך את עמו ישראל בשלום ישים שלום טובה וברכה עלינו על כל ישראל בארצנו הק' ובכל מקום שהם.
