To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim* and dedicates himself to communal needs, Rav Moshe Yitzchak[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter in its time. The proposal to unite all the shuls* of New England is very judicious, but for various reasons it is still premature. When we meet, we will speak of it at length.

Following the news that you announced to me[2], I sent a letter of condolences to Mr. ... It would be good to emphasize to him that he must make an effort on behalf of the yeshiva*[3] for the elevation of the neshama* of his father, and that he dedicate to his memory a sefer* of sichos* or chassidic maamarim* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. The great profit and the immense merit that this neshama* will derive from it are inestimable. You will surely find the suitable words to explain all this to him.

I am pleased that the student of the yeshiva* ... has already returned home. You will no doubt visit him in the coming days. You will therefore explain to him the necessity of fixing a time for the study of Torah, including Chassidus*. It is in this way that he will recover his physical health, when he is in good moral health.

Concerning the situation of the yeshiva*, I have already told you, some time ago, that success is assured. The vessels permitting one to obtain it, and even to hasten it, are the multiplication of the number of students and the strength to implant in their hearts yiras Shamayim* and the actual practice of mitzvos*.

I was very satisfied with what you told me regarding the conduct of the students during the festival of Purim. They will no doubt do the same during the festival of Pesach*, in the proper manner.

Tomorrow, im yirtze Hashem*, I will go to the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and I will mention there your name that you may know success in all your material concerns and in the sacred mission entrusted to you by my father-in-law, the Rebbe. It is clear that he also gave you the strengths and the capacities necessary to carry it out successfully.

With my blessing for success in your sacred mission and that you may perceive the immense satisfaction it brings,

מכתבו בעתו קבלתי, והנה ההצעה ע"ד האיחוד של הב"כ בניו-ענגלאנד, היא הצעה נכונה, במאד מאד, אבל לטעמים שונים, הנה מוקדם הזמן עדיין, וכאשר נתראה פנים אי"ה נדבר עד"ז בארוכה.

אחרי הודעתו כו' שלחתי מכתב תנחומין למר... וכדאי הי' לעוררו שיוסיף אומץ לטובת הישיבה, לטובת וזכר נשמת אביו ע"ה, וגם שידפיס על שמו ספר שיחות או מאמרים מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר התועלת הגדולה והזכות להנשמה מזה, אין לשער, ובטח ימצא האותיות המתאימות להסביר לו את כל זה.

שמחתי אשר התלמיד... שי' כבר בביתו, ובטח יהי' אצלו בימים הקרובים ויסביר לו ע"ד גודל החוב לקבוע עתים לתורה וגם בחסידות אשר אלו הם הכלים לבריאות בגשמיות הבאה לאחר הטבת הבריאות ברוחניות.

ובנוגע להמצב בהישיבה, הנה כבר זה כמה אמרתי לו שבודאי יהי' הכל בהצלחה והכלים לזה ובפרט למהר הדבר הוא ע"י זה שירבה מספר התלמידים וע"י הוספת אומץ לנטוע בלבם יראת שמים וקיום המצות בפועל.

שמחתי במאד לספורו ע"ד הנהגתו עם התל' בפורים העבר, ובטח יעשו כזאת גם במשך ימי חג הפסח הבע"ל, באופן המתאים.

מחר אי"ה אהי' על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ואזכירו להצלחה גדולה בעניניו הגשמים ובעבודתו בקדש כפי אשר העמיס עליו כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר בטח נתן לו ג"כ האפשרי[ו]ת והכחות להביא ענין זה מהכח אל הפועל.

בברכ[ת] הצלחה בעבודתו הק' און ער זאל פילען דעם גודל הנחת שבזה.
