To the distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, Rav Chaim Yaakov[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your checks and those of your wife. Enclosed you will find the receipts.

I have heard much spoken of you, and I am pleased to see that you remain attached, even after the histalkus* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, as you have always been. From now on, each one must feel even more clearly the responsibility that has been entrusted to all of us, must reveal within himself even deeper strengths, and act so that the great and holy realizations that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, has bequeathed to us should know success, materially and spiritually.

You surely have a fixed time for studying Torah. You must scrupulously respect this time and increase it, to the full measure of your possibilities. You will also develop your acts of tzedakah* and benevolence. Likewise, you will exert a positive influence on others.

I extend to you my blessing that you should have good health and a long life, as well as your wife.

Enclosed you will find the kuntres* edited on the occasion of 2 Nissan[2].
