To the students of the Achei Temimim* yeshiva*, Pittsburgh, may Hashem grant them long life,

Greetings and blessings,

My friend, the great Rav, distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, Rav Sholom Posner, the rector of your yeshiva*, transmitted to me your participation in maos chittin*[1].

I am pleased to see that you do not forget your brothers in need, whether they are in this country or on the other continent, and that you are ready to come to their aid, to the measure of your means.

As you know, the children are the ones who introduce the seder* with the Mah Nishtanah[2]. It is then said that the Torah defines four categories of children: the wise one and the others.

A child who studies Torah cannot be "the one who does not know how to ask" or "the simple one." Nevertheless, in order to be qualified as "the wise one," he must study Torah with yiras Shamayim* and observe its commandments.

But wisdom has no limit, and I therefore wish you to continue to progress in study, so that one may derive much nachas* from you.

Kindly transmit to your parents, and to all the others, my wishes for a kosher and joyous Pesach*.

ילדים שלומדים ,בכלל ,הרי אינם שייכים לסוג ״שאינו יודע לשאול״ או

״תם״ ,אך כדי להשתייך לסוג של אחד חכם ,צריך ללמוד תורה ביראת

שמים ולהיות ירא שמים .אך מכיון שאין שיעור לחכמה ,הנני מברך אתכם

שתתמידו בשגשוג בלימודים ,שירוו מכם רוב נחת.

בבקשה העבירו להוריכם את ברכתי לפסח כשר ושמח ,וכן לכולכם.

בברכת הצלחה בלימוד התורה ביראת שמים,
