To the distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim* and dedicates himself to communal needs, Rav Chaim Shlomo[1],

Greetings and blessings,

The festival of Pesach* is approaching, and many requests for help reach me from those who are in need in this country, in Eretz HaKodesh* and in Europe.

I know that, every year, several institutions and individuals receive, through your intervention, substantial amounts as maos chittin*[2].

I hope that this year too you will strengthen this good habit. By broadening your contribution and by hastening it, you will merit praise.

With my blessing for a kosher and joyous festival,

היות אשר בקשר עם חג הפסח הממשמש ובא רבות הבקשות לעזרה המגיעות אלי, הן מנצרכים פה במדינה, הן מארצה"ק ת"ו והן מאירופא, ובידעי אשר מדי שנה בשנה נתקבלו בהשתדלותו סכומים הגונים למעות חטים ממוסדות שונים ויחידים,

הנני מקוה אשר בטח גם בשנה זו יחזיק במנהגו הטוב הזה, וכמובן אשר כל המרבה והמקדים הרי זה משובח.
